I made that same maquette in college. But mine was more based on pumba. He even had on a shirt and tie with pens in the pocket.Did you know that Disney invented those things for Pinocchio in the 30s. They built them so that the animators would know how to draw their characters from any angle. I recently read a book about disney and it focused on his first three features. It was awesome to hear how much struggle went into making those movies. How much they killed themselves for critical approval. How people were working 24 hours a day 7 days a week for years doing art and inventing the technology. Funny thing is disney pretty much retired to playing with his trains after bambi bombed.
